For this game I decided to try out the Inhumans. I had them in a line up alongside A-Force but admittedly was keen to try out Black Bolt and co. Aside from World War Hulk and Old Man Logan I dont know much about Black Bolt and his Inhuman companions on the moon, so this would be interesting, although I am wary that I have only read the rules, this will be the first time me putting them on the table. Adam continues to refine his Wakanda and Cabal line up, taking out Winter Soldier and subbing in Enchantress to his 10 man roster. He ultimately decides to with Cabal over the more recent Wakandans.

Game Prep:

Adam resumes his winning priority roll and choses extracts, and the hammer scenario. I fancy trying something new and go with the terrigen mist scenario. He then selects the threat level of 18 points. We also invested in a tripod for better (?) angles for pics. So for pic reference I am on the right hand side, Adam is on the left. I will refer to tokens as top (furthest away from the camera) and bottom (closest to the camera) with left and right being respective to Adam or Is side.

Adam deploys first with Enchantress at the top between the buildings (who we put on top of the building for picture reasons), followed by Modok, Red Skull, Okoye and Baron Zemo. I counter deploy with Crystal at the top, Valkyrie, Black Bolt, Lockjaw and Medusa.

Turn 1:

Baron Zemo decides to take the lead and double moves to the bottom hammer, picking it up and contesting the Mist token.
Crystal, feeling the vibe from Zemo does the same. Moving to the top hammer to pick it up and contesting the mist token up there before Enchantress moves in.
Okoye keeps the activations simple and double moves up behind Zemo and into body guard range for some protection.
Lockjaw activates and gains 3 power from being near Black Bolt, moves forward then teleports Valkyrie forwards, giving Adam a little bit of pause.
Adam has a think and decides to go with Red Skull who unleashes his cube for 3 power, takes 0 damage, teleports Modok forward then advances up.
I have a look around. Modok, as always, is pretty spooky. Most of my team has average mystic defence which obviously isnt good for me. I go with Black Bolt who moves forward and picks up the right hand hammer, then settles in beside Lockjaw.
Enchantress floats out from between the buildings and throws an attack at Crystal which does 1 damage. She follows up by throwing a skip at Crystal which I decide to use brace to avoid taking damage, given Modok is further up than Id like.
Valkyrie moves forward and strikes Enchantress, paying the two power to stop her using her Mystic defence and reverting to her Physical defence of 2. I push 3 damage onto Enchantress then follow it up by throwing a nearby wheelie bin at the Asgardian, being size 1, and causing 2 more damage. Leaving Enchantess on 1 health.
Modok picks up the hammer on the left on top of the car. I completely missed that Modok is in range to double tap Valkyrie, which is bad news for her. He attacks Valkyrie with his builder and causes 2 damage. Modok then medpacks Enchantress and attacks Valkyie again for another 3 damage also leaving her on 1 health.
Medusa ends the turn on a simple activation by double moving to contest the bottom mist objective.

Turn ends 2 - 4 to me with Adam retaining priority.

During the clean up phase the mist token at the top is moved by Adam to 1 damage to Valkyrie and Crystal, dazing Valkyrie. I move the bottom token to do 1 damage to Zemo and Medusa, applying poison to Zemo.

Turn 2:

Right away I know my right hand flank is looking bad. An injured Valkyrie and damaged Crystal staring down Modok and Enchantress is bad news. Adam decides to go with Modok first, attacks Valkyrie and ends her with one attack KOing the Asgardian warrior. Not a great start for me. He then follows up with a second attack on Crystal and KOs her, forcing the inhuman to drop her hammer token at the feet of Enchantress.
So, with one of my flanks collapsing I decide to move Black Bolt to assist, hoping with the cover of the bin lorry that Medusa can hold her flank long enough. Lockjaw activates, gains 3 power from being near Black Bolt then teleports himself and Black Bolt toward the top of the board.
Enchantress goes next to preempt Black Bolt. She moves to pick up the wayward hammer and to line up a beam attack on Lockjaw and Bolt. The attack does 3 damage to Black Bolt and 2 to Lockjaw. She then throws a skip at Black Bolt and I pray to my dice gods, and luckily it does one damage, leaving Bolt on 1 hp. She finishes with a siren call to move Black Bolt back a bit.
I count my lucky chickens and activate Black Bolt and instantly medpack. I then play Advanced R+D to move power from Lockjaw to Black Bolt and Medusa. He then moves forward, and uses a Master Punch on Enchantress for 4 damage, dazing her, dropping her hammer and places him within 1 of Enchantress and scoring the mist token but doesnt have enough power to collect the hammer.
Baron Zemo activates and strikes Enchantress and does 0 damage. Frustrated, the aristocrat tactician attacks again and succesfully squeezes 2 damage onto the Queen.
I go with Medusa, my only remaining activation and decide to see what she can do. I was initially unimpressed with her but this game very much opened my eyes. Medusa attacks Zemo for 2 damaga and triggers her flurry which does 0 damage. She attacks him again for 2 damage and dazes him leaving her to potentially score the Mist token.
Okoye moves around the lorry and attacks Medusa with a strike for 1 damage.
Red Skull ends the turn by climbing onto the truck and strikes Medusa for 0 damage.

Turn ends 5 - 8 to me with me taking priority.

During the clean up phase the bottom token doesnt move due to being contest, the top token moves and does a damage to Black Bolt.

Turn 3:

Given my situation I am almost forced to use Black Bolt first, to make sure Adam has to fight for the hammer rather than just taking it. Black Bolt activates and takes the hammer from the floor and attacks Enchantress for 3 damage. Crystal uses Attlian Rising to allow the other 3 Inhumans to gain a power. Black Bolt attacks Enchantress again, spending the 2 power to make her use her Physical defence, doing 2 damage and KOing her.
Modok, clearly annoyed by this and moves Lockjaw out of Last Save range, then attacks Black Bolt with a doomsday chair and dazes the Inhuman leader. He then follows up with an attack on Crystal and KOs another of my team casually. He finishes his activation by picking up the two hammers that Black Bolt dropped.
Medusa, deciding to show me how much of a melee monster she is, decides to go next. She throws Okoye at Baron Zemo forcing Adam to use Brace. She makes her first attack on Baron Zemo and rolls very well, with Adam rolling badly and KOs the Cabal member whilst also getting her flurry trigger. She flurries into Okoye and does 2 damage and picks up Zemos hammer. She attacks Okoye again and causes another 2 damage to daze the Wakanadan, also getting another flurry trigger which she uses to attack Red Skull and cause 4 damage to the Cabal leader and pushing him back over the truck.
Red Skulls walks around the front of the lorry and teleports himself onto the mist objective and strikes Medusa, causing her the single damage she has left, dazing her and dropping her hammer which Skull quickly picks up.
Lockjaw, feeling frisky teleports over to Medusa and uses a strike on Red Skull but causes 0 damage.

Turn ends 13 - 8 to Adam with him retaking priority.

During the clean up phase the bottom mist token I decide to leave where it is causing a damage and poison to Red Skull. The top token also stays and does 1 damage and poison to Modok.

Turn 4:

Adam, understandable not wanting Modok to face down Black Bolt, moves the Inhuman leader back then himself double moves back towards Adams board edge to safety with his 3 hammers. The game is all but done, I cant stop Modok scoring the 3 hammers but we play out the rest of the turn.
Medusa, deciding that she is going to kick some ass before game end uses Royal Decree to teleport herself forward beside Lockjaw and contesting the mist token. She then throws Red Skull at Okoye, dazing Skull and doing 3 damage to Okoye. Medusa picks up the hammer dropped by Skull then attacks Okoye for 0 damage but gets the flurry trigger, attacking her again and causing 1 damage to KO the poor Wakandan.
Black Bolt moves forward onto the objective at the top.

Game ends 16 - 13 to Adam

Oooooft what a game! A very strong comeback from Adam in turn 3 to score all objective points for an 8 point swing to put him 5 ahead. Losing Valkyrie so early was bad news for me, which might have been tempered if she had taken down Enchantress. Crystal unfortunately got picked on by the superior Modok and didnt really get a chance to do much. Black Bolt I also felt I didnt get to use enough to get a real feel for. Lockjaw and Medusa though, what a pair. Lockjaws teleport is really scary and Medusa with her flurry and range 3 control power builder is so spooky. I was worried about her having to hold the bottom on her own but damn that was a "hold my beer" moment where she solo'd Skull, Zemo and Okoye. Not being able to adjust attack rolls against her is super strong. Admittedly I did get a couple of strong rolls v Adams bad defence rolls but she was still a proper nightmare for the 3 Cabal members on that side of the table. Overall pleased with Inhumans but want more games in with them before I decide if I want to commit their affiliation to my 10 man roster. I feel I can take Medusa and Lockjaw in most other lists and affiliations and they would be just as strong or useful.
